Zumba music

One of the many reasons why the Zumba has been so successful is due in part to the Latin rhythmic music. Part of the passion from Zumba members is feeling the zumba music beat. This aids the bodies rhythm  whilst taking the class. Turning up the Zumba music invigorates your body to just want to get up and swivel to the beat. The dance steps learned go hand in hand with this rhythm allowing for an easy transformation into the class and pretty soon you will be transfixed to want to get up and dance.

When you view the Zumba DVDs the first thing that you notice is the music. The music on the DVDs  may be different to the when taking a Zumba class as many instructors fine tune the music to their clients or students  wishes adding hip hop and other genres into the mix. Due to the sound of the original Zumba music it blends well with other genres to create your own tune. The most important thing is enjoying the exercise and if you like a little hip hop mixed through the Zumba music then that’s great.

The music format that typically plays in a Zumba class consists of 2-3 warm-up tracks, 7-10 tracks for the actual workout and 1-2 cool down tracks.  Depending on how advanced the class is and the length of each Zumba music track will determine exactly how many tracks are played in each session. It is advised by Zumba Fitness that their instructors should have a 70/30 mix with 70% of the time Zumba music is played and 30% other genre music can be mixed in. That way the instructor can create a Zumba music mix that suits the class demographic.

There are many Zumba Music downloads as shown above available today to cater for your taste. The Zumba Fitness CD “Cardio Party” blends a combination of traditional Latin Zumba music with Belly Dance, Tango, Country and rock and roll, whilst the newest CD “Party Nation” has a little Belly Dance and Tango blended with the Latin Rhythms. No matter what you pick of Zumba music there is a little for everyone with the wide variety available. The most important thing is to have fun fun fun!
